Erie County
The Erie County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking applicants for a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with 5 years of practice in Criminal Law.  This person would conduct research of evidence and law to analyze cases and render legal opinions, determine, review, and evaluate proper charges to be brought.  Would also prepare and file motion, memoranda, and briefs, as well as conduct consultations with defense attorneys to reach settlements or plea negotiations.  This person would also organize evidence and testimony from interviews with witnesses in preparation for trial and present evidence and witnesses at trial and participation in sentencing hearings. Other duties would also include completing forms, handle correspondence and prepare and maintain records and reports and would perform other related duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS: (At time of filling out application) Knowledge of Ohio Criminal Law and Procedure; Jury trial experience; familiarity with police procedure and investigative techniques; effective oral communication and advocacy skills; legal research and writing skills; Juris Doctorate degree and admitted member of the Ohio Bar and in good standing.

Fairfield County
The Fairfield County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking applicants for a full-time assistant prosecutor in the juvenile division. Primary duties for the position include prosecuting juveniles for criminal offenses ranging from school truancy and traffic citations to serious felony offenses. Additional duties include working with Child Protective Services on abuse, neglect, and dependency cases. This is an entry-level attorney position with a full government benefits package. Warren County
Warren County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking an experienced felony trial attorney with significant jury trial experience.  A qualified applicant should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the area of criminal law, as well as experience prosecuting or handling homicide cases.  Willingness to serve in a position exempt from the Ohio Civil Service and the Fair Labor Standards Act.  Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.  Applicant must complete satisfactory drug and background check.

Main duties include: 
Provides professional legal advice and representation in the prosecution of criminal, misdemeanor, delinquency, traffic, child abuse, neglect and dependency, and tax collections.  Provides professional legal advice and representation to county officials and departments, townships, and libraries.  Makes court appearances to present and prosecute cases.  Prepares and presents trainings to law enforcement, schools and professionals, and the community.  Researches and writes appellant briefs, and makes oral arguments before the Court of Appeals and Ohio Supreme Court.  Provides legal advice to police agencies regarding status of investigations, matters of search and seizures, probable cause, search warrants, arrest, appropriate criminal charges, and other criminal law issues.   Meets with police officers and general public for purposes of approving criminal charges upon review of fact and law. An employee assigned to this position is a professional attorney, licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
