Champaign County
The Champaign County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office seeks a full-time assistant prosecuting attorney. The successful candidate must be licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and will primarily be responsible for handling juvenile and adult felony dockets.  The ability to work independently and familiarity with Ohio law is necessary. A trial attorney with one or more years experience is preferred but not required. This is NOT the job for the faint of heart. This is a position where the successful candidate will be challenged intellectually and emotionally. The successful candidate will have an immediate case load and will be working closely with law enforcement, victims of crime, defense attorneys and court personnel in a collegial environment. Long hours and excellence in work product should be expected. A motivated individual with a desire to spend their days in the courtroom and their evenings preparing for trial should apply.  Excellent research and writing skills is a MUST. Additionally, oral advocacy skills and the ability to communicate effectively are a MUST. Salary is commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits are provided including health insurance, retirement and paid vacation. Fairfield County
The Fairfield County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking applicants for a full-time assistant prosecutor position in the grand jury unit of the adult felony division. Primary duties for the position include reviewing police investigations for criminal charges and presentation to the grand jury, with an opportunity for some trial work if desired. Experience in criminal prosecution is preferred but not required. Salary commensurate with experience with full government benefits package. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis upon receipt. Salary commensurate with experience. Applicant must be a licensed Ohio attorney in good standing. Prior experience in criminal prosecution is preferred but not required. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience with Matrix case management software a plus. Primary assignment will be in the grand jury unit reviewing and preparing law enforcement investigations for presentation to the grand jury. Applicants must be flexible to adjusting job duties and/or practice areas as required to meet the operational needs of the office. This is a full-time position and no private practice is allowed. Position offers full government benefits including OPERS pension; medical, dental and vision insurance (with optional life and disability); paid sick and vacation leave as provided by Ohio law; and paid holidays and personal leave as set by the Board of County Commissioners. Putnam County
The Putnam County Prosecutor's Office is seeking a full-time Assistant Prosecutor to handle felony prosecutions including appeals.  Prior trial experience is required.  The successful candidate will have an immediate caseload and will also provide support in the misdemeanor and juvenile courts from time to time. Candidates should be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court and be a motivated  individual with a desire to spend their days in the courtroom. Excellent research and  writing skills along with strong trial advocacy skills will be required.  No private practice will be permitted. Shelby County
The Shelby County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. The successful candidate will manage the office’s Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency docket, however, he or she may also be assigned tasks from other dockets or divisions. Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active Ohio law license in good standing.  The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience, plus benefits (including medical and OPERS).  The successful candidate will also be permitted to engage in the private practice of law.
