Carroll County
The Carroll County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking applicants to fill a municipal prosecutor position. The position will be responsible for all misdemeanor and traffic prosecutions in a county-wide municipal court. The position will include, among other duties, attending arraignments, pretrial conferences, conducting preliminary hearings, bench and jury trial, and appeals. Other duties, including preparation and the obtaining of search warrants, case intake, working with numerous law enforcement agencies, and limited civil matters, including tax foreclosures come with the position. The successful applicant will have limited opportunities for prosecuting felony and juvenile cases as needed. The successful applicant must have good interpersonal skills in working with office staff, court staff, law enforcement, and victims of crime.
Interested applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio in good standing. Prior prosecutorial experience is preferred but all applications will be considered. This is a part-time position but benefits eligible. The successful applicant will be permitted to have a private law practice consistent with the Rules of Professional Responsibility. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience and budget considerations. Fairfield County
The Fairfield County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking applicants for a full-time assistant prosecutor in the juvenile division. Primary duties for the position include prosecuting juveniles for criminal offenses ranging from school truancy and traffic citations to serious felony offenses. Additional duties include working with Child Protective Services on abuse, neglect, and dependency cases. This is an entry-level attorney position with a full government benefits package. Montgomery County
The Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney will accept applications for
the position of Assistant Prosecuting Attorney until 4:30 p.m. on Friday,
November 16, 2018
. Depending on experience and qualifications, successful
applicants will be placed in the Appellate, Civil, Criminal, or Juvenile Division.
The Appellate Division is responsible for preparing and arguing appeals of
criminal and juvenile cases in which our county or the State of Ohio is involved.
The Civil Division’s main function is to provide legal counsel and representation
to elected officials, including all county elected officials, judges, and township
trustees. The Criminal Division is responsible for prosecuting felony cases that
occur in our county. The Juvenile Division handles cases against offenders
under the age of 18, cases against adults who abuse or neglect children, and
intervenes to protect, and in some cases remove, abused and neglected children
from dangerous environments. Candidates should possess a strong academic
record, good writing and oral communication skills, and either be a member of
the Ohio Bar or have taken the July Bar Exam in Ohio. This position is full time;
no private practice is allowed. Minimum starting salary is $52,500.00 with full
