Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association
The Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association is seeking candidates for the
position of Executive Director. The Executive Director performs a variety of
professional, executive and managerial duties relating to organizing and directing
the day to day operations and function of the OPAA, including intergovernmental
and interagency relations, legislative lobbying, policy analysis and research,
education and program development, and general member assistance. The
Executive Director currently supervises a staff of four.

The Executive Director’s primary responsibility is as chief lobbyist, advocating the
Association’s positions with respect to legislation, rules and other public policy
issues that impact Ohio's elected Prosecuting Attorneys and their staffs.
The successful candidate must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited
institution in a law and/or political science-related field. A strong preference will
be given to a graduate from an accredited Law School with a Doctor of
Jurisprudence degree with additional consideration given to a candidate with
experience in criminal and/or civil prosecution.

Candidates should possess a knowledge of operational, political, community and
economic issues related to or affecting legal/criminal prosecution, as well as the
ability to implement budgets; plan, organize, direct and supervise the work of
subordinates; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and
maintain effective working relationships with elected officials/prosecutors,
legislators, other agencies and associations, the media, and the public.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. The position start date is intended

Ottawa County
The Ottawa County prosecutor's office is currently seeking a full time assistant prosecuting attorney. The assistant prosecuting attorney provides coverage for his/her assigned court as well as backup coverage for other courts. he/she will review and prepare cases, subpoena necessary witnesses for hearings, oversee discovery compliance, prepare and file motions, respond to motions, and meet with victims/witnesses/officers. he/she must be able to work under pressure on time-sensitive projects and always maintain strict confidentiality regarding information processed within the prosecutor's office. Position is generally 35 hours per week, 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with an hour of unpaid lunch. Preferred qualifications include prior prosecutorial experience and 3+ years in legal practice.

Putnam County
The Putnam County Prosecutor's Office is seeking an attorney to fill the full-time position of Assistant Prosecutor to handle felony and misdemeanor prosecutions as well as appeals.  Prior trial experience is required.  Candidates should be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court, possess strong writing and oral communication skills and excellent trial advocacy skills.  No private practice will be permitted.
